With the steady growth it has maintained since its founding, Pakmaya—a company wholly owned by Turkish capital—has reached a production capacity equivalent to 250,000 tons of fresh yeast and ranks among the world’s leading yeast producers.

Following the establishment of its first factory in İzmit-Köseköy in 1973, our company built its second yeast factory in İzmir-Kemalpaşa in 1986 and its third in Düzce-Cumayeri in 1990. The company made its first investment outside Turkey in 1998 in the city of Paşcani, Romania.

Production at all Pakmaya factories is carried out using computer-controlled systems in full compliance with the highest international hygiene and quality standards. With a staff of approximately 1,000 experienced professionals and state-of-the-art technical equipment, these facilities produce fresh, active dry, and instant yeast varieties with an unwavering commitment to quality.

Established in 1989, FAGEM (Baking Research and Development Center) is a unit dedicated to conducting research in the field of baking and resolving all issues related to bread production for bakers. Conducting all types of analysis, control, research, and testing related to the raw materials of bread—flour, water, yeast, salt, and additives—FAGEM serves as an educational center for the industry with its laboratories and experimental ovens. Baker groups from many countries around the world, as well as from Turkey, visit FAGEM to benefit from the seminars organized there.

Committed to continuous development, Pakmaya conducts ongoing product development research on yeast and its varieties through the Pbio-Pak Biotechnology Center (Pakmaya Biotechnology Research and Development Center), established in 1988.

As the market leader in Turkey, Pakmaya exports to over 130 countries worldwide.

In addition to bread yeast production, Pakmaya has been active in the bakery, pastry, and milling product sectors since 1986 through its group company, As Gıda.
